A Mediterranean and Italian restaurant on the beach side of the Lungomare; the menu centres on local seafood, with a raw-fish bar and dry-aged steaks.

Good for

Tables by the sea on the main promenade — a sunset dinner within walking distance of most central hotels.

Keep in mind

It is on the busiest stretch of the promenade, so lively rather than quiet; reserve ahead for a sunset table in high summer.

Uji i Ftohtë, on the coast road south of the centre

A sit-down evening meal with a wide view across the bay towards the sunset, and Albanian wines on the list.

Port end of the Lungomare (Sheshi Isa Boletini, Rruga Çamëria)

A city hotel where the main boulevard meets the Lungomare by the port, with rooms facing the coast or the promenade, an indoor pool and a spa.

Good for

A base without a car: the centre, the Lungomare and the ferry port are all within walking distance.

Old Beach, north-west of the port (Rruga Sazani)

Good for

A quieter base on the Old Beach side of the city, with the sand a few steps away and parking included.

A beachfront hotel on the coast south of Vlora with its own beach, sea-view balconies in most rooms, a restaurant and a beach bar.

Good for

A beach stay where a parasol and two deck-chairs on the hotel beach come with the room, and several rooms are sized for families.
