Frequently asked questions

Why does the view keep changing?

One rooftop PTZ camera rotates between selected views so the stream shows more of the bay than a fixed webcam could.

Why is the player not loading automatically?

To keep the page fast and private, the YouTube player loads only when you press play, from youtube-nocookie.com.

Are the pictures on this site live?

No — pictures elsewhere on the site are labelled Bay preview. The live view is the video on this page, streamed from YouTube. To use or embed the camera picture, contact us via the Partners page.

When is the best time to watch?

Mornings for the sharpest view of Sazan, and the hour before sunset for golden light. The times above are calculated for today.

Are the photos with numbers the live picture?

No. They are dated photos from our camera. The camera turns between views, so a photo shows one view at one moment — the numbers mark places on that photo only.

Is the weather on this site measured?

No. Where we show weather it is a forecast for Vlora Bay and says so. The live camera is the only real-time view.
