About Vlora.live
One rooftop camera, one bay, and a simple promise: before you go anywhere in Vlora, you can see what it is like right now.
Vlora.live began as the Vlora Bay Livecam, a 4K camera streaming the bay to YouTube around the clock. The camera sees the Lungomare, the beaches, the port and its ferries, Sazan Island, the Karaburun Peninsula, paragliders on good days and the sunset on most. Anyone can watch it, wherever they are — in Vlora, in the Albanian diaspora, or planning a first visit.
This website turns that view into something useful. The Vlora Today page combines the live picture with today’s sun times and the season, and turns them into plain suggestions for the day. The guides to things to do and boat trips are deliberately short: the right list, not the longest.
Around the live view sits an independent visitor desk for the whole city: planning (getting here, where to stay, transport), booking what is genuinely bookable, visitor information (emergency numbers, pharmacies, money, SIM cards), what’s on and a search that answers the questions visitors actually ask. Facts that can change — a fare, a phone number, an opening rule — are checked against official or primary sources, dated, and flagged when they are due for a re-check.
Principles
- Live and honest. If we cannot confirm something, the page says so. Nothing is invented: no fake reviews, ratings, prices or availability, and never a “safe to go” claim based on weather.
- Labelled commerce. Editorial, affiliate, sponsored and partner content are always distinguished by visible badges. Commission never changes an editorial choice.
- Our own pictures. Every landscape photograph on the site is a frame from the camera itself.
- Light and private. No analytics run without your consent and the YouTube player loads only when you press play.
The camera
One rooftop PTZ camera that rotates between selected views. The precise position is not published. It streams in 4K and rotates between selected views so the stream can show more of the bay than a fixed webcam. The precise location is not published.
