Vlorë ⇄ Brindisi

The only international passenger route from Vlorë’s port, and the shortest way between southern Italy and Vlora Bay.

  • Sailings: Booking sites list around four sailings a week for autumn 2026, taking roughly 6–8 hours. Operators and days change with the season.
  • Operators: in October 2026 the main booking site listed Starlines, with A-Ships Management on some sailings. Operators have changed from season to season, so check when you book.
  • Vehicles: Vehicles are carried on this route; arrive at the port well before departure for check-in.

At the port

Ferries berth at the Port of Vlora, at the north end of the Lungomare and west of the city centre. It is the port you see on the live camera’s northern views.

  • Arrive well before departure — longer if you are taking a car — and have your passport or ID card ready: Albania is outside the Schengen area.
  • Taxis are the easy way to and from the port with luggage.
  • Weather can delay or cancel sailings; the operator decides.

Other ways by sea

  • Durrës, on the coast west of Tirana, is Albania’s main ferry port, with crossings from Bari and Ancona. Continue south to Vlorë by road.
  • Sarandë, in the far south, has frequent short crossings from Corfu; drive north along the Riviera and over the Llogara Pass.
  • Sazan Island and Karaburun have no public ferry — they are reached on boat trips.
