Old Beach (Plazhi i Vjetër)

Vlora’s original town beach, on the far side of the port to the north-west — quieter than the Lungomare beaches, with older buildings among newer hotels.

Plazhi i Vjetër, the Old Beach, lies on the coast north-west of the Port of Vlora — the opposite direction from the Lungomare promenade beaches south of the port. Travel writers describe it as less busy than the promenade, with some older buildings among newer hotels.

Further north along the same shore the coast becomes more wooded around Boves, where there is camping.

It is about 2–3 km from the centre: a taxi ride, or a long walk past the port. Check exactly where a hotel is before booking a stay here.
