Dukat: olive groves and a country lunch

Below the Llogara road, the Dukat plain is olive-oil country. Agritourism farms serve local dishes, their own oil and wine — a slow lunch on the way to or from the Riviera.

South of Orikum the road to the Llogara Pass crosses the Dukat plain, about 24 km from the city. The National Tourism Agency singles it out for olive oil, and the area has agritourism farms serving home-produced food.

It pairs naturally with the drive over Llogara: lunch in Dukat on the way back from the Riviera, or a long table before you climb. Some booking-site listings offer wine tasting with traditional food in Dukat; otherwise call ahead to the farm.
